How to get to the hotel

We're in Agüera, a small village in the Teverga valley, south-west Asturias. Getting here is straightforward from almost anywhere in northern Spain — and the last half hour is worth it for the landscape alone.

How to get here, depending on how you travel

By car

The easiest option. From Oviedo take the AS-228 road through Trubia – Proaza – Teverga. A well-kept mountain road. Free parking at the hotel.

By bus

The ALSA Oviedo–San Martín de Teverga line connects the Asturian capital with the valley daily. From San Martín it's about 5 km to Agüera: we can help with a local taxi or pick you up if coordinated in advance.

By plane

Asturias Airport (OVD), in Santiago del Monte, is the closest option with domestic and European flights. From there, renting a car is the most practical — the main rental companies have offices at the terminal.

The last few kilometres

From San Martín de Teverga, follow the AS-228 for three kilometres and take the signposted turn-off towards Agüera. The local road is narrow but paved; in winter there may be isolated icy patches at dawn — please drive carefully.

Useful tips

Mobile coverage is good throughout the drive, apart from a short stretch in the gorge.
Petrol: the last station before the hotel is in San Martín de Teverga.
If you use GPS, search directly for "Hotel Balcón de Agüera" — avoid searching only for "Agüera" (there are several places by that name in Asturias).
